Our Ewes
Helda
Genotype: RR Birthday: 01/15/2014 OE Registered; NABSSAR Registered
Sire: My Little Sheep Martin TR Dam: Double M Sheep Spicey TW
Helda is one of our first sheep. We purchased her in 2014 from Double M Farm in Rendon, TX. As you may be able to tell from the pictures, she is a bit more leery about these “humans” than our other sheep are. It seems that Helda has a habit of having twins.
In 2016, we paired Helda with Alpha. Helda had Delta and a stillborn ram lamb on April 13, 2017.
In 2018, Helda was paired with Bravo. Helda gave birth to two beautiful black ewe lambs on March 25, 2019 (Anja and Asta). Mother and babies are doing well.
Violet
Genotype: QR Birthday: 04/04/2017 OE Registered; NABSSAR pending
Violet is a black ewe that we purchased in 2017 from Millerville Farms in McMinnville, TN. She has the most lovable personality. She is fun to be around and very funny to watch.
In 2018, we paired Violet with Delta. She gave birth to Echo, our first ram lamb of the season, on March 23, 2019.
Rosemary
Genotype: QR Birthday: 03/30/2017 OE Registered; NABSSAR pending
Rosemary is our resident “airhead.” She’s loving, but flighty. She is a food addict. When she was born she had a heart shape on her left hip. We’ve decided she must have wanted everyone to know about for her love of all things edible. We purchased her in 2017 from Millerville Farms in McMinnville, TN.
In 2018, we paired Rosemary with Bravo. She gave birth to our last ram lamb of the season on May 21, 2019.
Keilah
Genotype: QR Birthday: 03/14/2010 NABSSAR Registered
Sire: Atteberry Jack TW Dam: Sheepfields SF313 TR
Keilah is one of three ewes that we picked up in a flock dispersal sale in the spring of 2019 from Backyard Babydoll Southdowns in Byers, TX. She was born in 2010 but you would never know it by looking at her body condition and the way she carries herself. She is very calm and loves getting scratches behind her ears, on her neck, and on her chest.
In 2018, Keilah was paired with Oliver. Keilah gave birth to Kaisa (ewe) and Kalf (ram) on March 22, 2019. Mother and babies are doing great and adjusting to their new home very well.
Ariel

Sire: Sheepfields Keegan TW Dam: Kellane Nera TW
Ariel is the second of three ewes that we picked up in a flock dispersal sale in the spring of 2019 from Backyard Babydoll Southdowns in Byers, TX. She was born in 2012 and is an awesome addition to our flock. She has a lot of wool on top of her head that gives her a very dishy looking face when she is in full wool.
In 2018, Ariel was paired with Oliver. Ariel gave birth to Airi (ewe) and Agdar (ram) on April 1, 2019. Mother and babies are doing great and are adjusting to their new home very well.
Stormie

Sire: Fuller Kade SG Dam: Sheepfields Keliah TW
Stormie is the third and youngest ewe that we picked up in a flock dispersal sale in the spring of 2019 from Backyard Babydoll Southdowns in Byers, TX.. As the youngest of the bunch of new sheep, she took a little longer to get used to her new humans, but I can’t say I really blame her for that. We have taken time to deal with her one-on-one whenever possible and she has started coming around nicely. Having the older girls here (Keilah and Ariel) has helped with this process quite a bit.
In 2018, Stormie was paired with Oliver. Stormie gave birth to Saron (ram), her first baby, on March 16, 2019. Saron and mom are doing well and settling in fine.
