Our Wethers
“Baldek”
At this time, Baldek is the only wether we have on the farm.
Baldek was one of the first three sheep we bought, when we were just doing this for the “lawn mowing.”
This guy is awesome. He’s a pinch hitter in whatever capacity is required of him at the time. When a couple rams have a bit of testosterone clouding their minds, Baldek is the soft spoken, yet very convincing, voice of reason. When we need to separate one of the girls (like right now due to birthing), we pull Baldek over and he provides a source of calm for any anxiety they may be feeling. I don’t know what we’d do without this guy.
On top of all that, he is very affectionate and he loves being around his humans. Below are some pictures of him over the years…
