After a month of Bravo and Delta getting acquainted with Oliver through the fences, we decided it was time to stop keeping them separated. Amy and I setup a “squeeze pen” for the boys and they had the opportunity to get acquainted under heavy supervision and very little room to move for a couple days.
After a bit more than 48 hours in that setup we released them and gave them plenty of space to fan out. This technique works remarkably well and, again this year, we’ve had great success with it. All three rams get along fine even when the “ladies” are closeby. Sure, they’re guys and, and guys will be guys…but it has never become “too” stupid. Mostly just posturing and then they remember they’re hungry so they get back to mowing my grass...
