2020… What to say about this past year?
Well, it’s been interesting, to say the least. Unfortunately, we did not take advantage of the time spent at home to keep up with our business communications very well. For that, we apologize and promise to do better.
To say it has been quite a year would be an understatement. First, the pandemic. And then, Murphy’s Law comes into play. Everyone knows that during a pandemic is exactly when you want things to happen such as appliances breaking down. Dishwasher, washing machine and dryer (multiple times), air conditioner, etc etc. It all happened this year. I told Amy “welcome to the 1800s” as we drained our washing machine by hand (pump went out), hung our laundry out to dry, etc.
We didn’t lose sight of the big picture though. We managed to stay healthy, keep all our sheep healthy, and add to our flock in the process. We welcomed a new young ram from Minnesota (Alex), some ewe lambs from Tennessee (the same place we got Violet and Rosemary from in 2017), and two more ewe lambs from Missouri. The only thing we failed to do is provide communication throughout the year. :-(
For 2020, we have eight breeding pairs and we are expecting to see babies popping up in the coming weeks. Our earliest expected arrival should be around mid-March. We are currently catching up on emails so Amy can ensure that everyone is on the birth announcement email list if they want to be. If you want to be included on any birth announcements please be sure to complete the contact form on https://www.rumenboardfarm.com/contact and we will ensure that you get placed on the list.
Our breeding pairs are as follows:
Alex and Helda
Alex and Anja
Alex and Asta.
Delta and Violet
Delta and Rosemary
Delta and Penelope
Delta and Bernadette
Delta and Stormie
We are lacking on pictures of the newer sheep but we will get that done soon and update the web page in coming days with info and photos.
